PRIMARY IMPACT:
Provides standard administrative, technical, or production services or information that support others, and/or organizes data and information that is used and analyzed by others.
DUTIES:*
1. Help prepare annual departmental and auxiliary services operating budget request; maintain detail of expenditures beyond that provided by monthly departmental report; estimate auxiliary operating revenues during budget process based on prior year's information.
2. Assist controller with annual audit.
3. Undertake special accounting or auxiliary service projects assigned at the direction of controller.
4. Establish/maintain departmental files including complex and/or confidential auxiliary services contract files; prepare/process District forms.
5. Monitor monthly departmental and auxiliary services expenditures for validity and accuracy. Initiate budget transfers as necessary.
6. Prepare monthly auxiliary service revenue summary for Purchasing.
7. Provide revenue coding of all auxiliary services checks to cashier for receipting of monthly payments.
8. Investigate/resolve late payments and/or incomplete supporting documentation of contracted auxiliary service vendors.
9. Report/resolve auxiliary vendor service requests.
10. Enter requisitions for accounting department and auxiliary services. Maintain department office supply inventory.
11. Maintain documentation and provide vending refunds at District.
12. Attend auxiliary service committee meetings; schedule/prepare for meetings to include room reservation/set-up and attendance documents.
13. Prepare bank account deposit and revenue coding for ACCD Foundation.
14. Verify supporting documentation and prepare check disbursements for Foundation Board members' signatures.
15. Train/supervise workstudy employees.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs (intermediate-level), computerized accounting systems, generally accepted accounting principles/practices and their application.
Organization skills necessary to remain current in multiple job duties.
Ability to concentrate on details and maintain accuracy while dealing with numerous interruptions.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EDUCATION
Minimum: A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
Preferred: An Associate's degree (two-year program or two to three years of college) or equivalent formal training.
Accounting coursework is highly desirable.
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Three to four years.
Preferred: Five to eight years.
The position requires four years of accounting experience. Experience
in multiple accounting functions (e.g., receivables, payables, payroll, cash
receipts/revenue, bank reconciliations) is highly desirable. An Associate’s degree in a related area may be substituted for
two years of experience.
