JOB DESCRIPTION
OPERATING TITLE: DEAN OF ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
Class Code: 4245
General Statement of Duties: Provides leadership to the enrollment function of the College, which may include the areas of Admissions, Advising and Assessment, Records and Registration.
Supervision received: Administrative direction
Supervision Exercised: Manages the employees accountable in the areas included in the enrollment function.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES*
Prepares budgets and long-range plans for the enrollment aspects of the College, which may include the areas of Advisement and Assessment, Registration, Admissions, Records and Veteran’s Affairs.
Leads the College’s academic marketing and recruitment efforts to include state-of-art approaches.
Assists in hiring staff and manages direct reports to include pay issues, development, performance appraisal and discipline.
Acts as liaison between students and the Administration on issues related to enrollment not handled at the department level.
Attends professional conferences to stay abreast of changes in the areas related to enrollment.
Makes recommendations to the Vice President and President regarding changes to any aspect of enrollment in order to improve quality of services to students.
Performs administrative and related work as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership/management skills
Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary, forward-looking enrollment planning and management areas including admissions, financial aid, testing and registration.
Working knowledge of computer systems utilization in enrollment management and state reporting.
Comprehensive knowledge of academic marketing and recruitment approaches.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with all members of the college and local community.
Deep understanding of and belief in the role of the community college.
Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population and appreciation of and commitment to diversity.
Ability to implement the College mission.
Openness to innovative ideas.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Master’s degree in a job-related area is required. Doctorate in a job-related area strongly preferred.
Five years of experience in enrollment management (preferably in a college setting), planning, and budgeting in an academic environment.
Regular and recurring work is performed in a work environment that involves normal everyday low risks or discomforts typical of offices. Work areas are adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
