PRIMARY IMPACT:

 

Provides analytic/diagnostic services or uses highest level technical skills which noticeably affect work results.

 

DUTIES:*

 

1.         Process annual report on CE progress, contact hours, and managers’ contributions.  Prepare spreadsheets, charts, and pie graphs on courses, contact hours for CE and credit courses offered by CE, and percentage of contributions credited to each manager.

 

2.         Process monthly report on status of course offerings.  Track enrollment, verify census date, and ensure contact hours for state reimbursement.

 

3.         Compile monthly CE Specialists’ production statistics to document growth of department.

 

4.         Monitor enrollment of courses under contract.

 

5.         Monitor fund balances and analyze accounts daily to advise on appropriations, expenses, revenues; ensure funds are available to cover adjunct faculty salaries; transfer funds if necessary.

 

6.         Serve as information specialist for the division; assist with incoming phone and walk-in inquiries.

 

7.         Monitor non-reimbursable courses.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

 

Knowledge of non-profit/college fund accounting; budget preparation/maintenance; general accounting principles; calculating faculty work load.

 

Skills in computerized accounting (spreadsheets/graphs/MS applications), analysis, problem solving, and oral/written communication.

 

Ability to interpret/implement/explain college and district policies/objectives to all levels of employees; meet deadlines; work under pressure.

Preferred:         An Associate's degree or equivalent.

Minimum:         One to two years.
