PRIMARY IMPACT:
Provides standard administrative, technical, or production services or information that support others, and/or organizes data and information that is used and analyzed by others.
DUTIES:*
1. Screen incoming music; listen for prohibited language; evaluate aesthetically.
2. Enter music into database and record music into master control system (RCS).
3. Participate in annual pledge drive by performing organizational duties, data entry, customer service, and record keeping.
4. Retrieve mail from mailroom; sort music to appropriate people.
5. Label “new ads”; weed collection.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations; familiarity with a wide range of music genres.
Organizational, record keeping, and verbal communication skills; skills in computer applications including Microsoft Office, RCS, RCS Selector, and Linker ProTools Digital audio software, Quickbooks; skills in audio equipment including microphones, audio mixers, and studio audio board.
Aesthetic abilities for selecting music.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EDUCATION
Minimum: A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
Preferred: A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
Specifically, the position requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus completion of COMM 1307, COMM 2303, and RTVB 1150 with a grade of C or better.
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum: No experience necessary.
Preferred: Three to six months.
Specifically, the position requires the student to be in good academic standing, enrolled in at least 6 hours, and be an RTVB or COMM major.
