At the beginning of the 2003-2004 academic year the SLAC began honoring those employees who did the best job in helping the students and promoting a sense of team work among their peers. Every month the part-time employees, of the SLAC, vote for who they feel should be the employee of the month.
The winner:
- receives a certificate of appreciation (with a copy kept in their personnel file)
- gets their name engraved on the plaque displayed in the SLAC
- receives a $10 gift card
