Weather permitting, on the first Friday of each month, members of the local astronomy club - the San Antonio Astronomical Association - set up their own telescopes for public viewing of the night sky.  Telescopes are set up outside the Scobee Planetarium in the parking lot directly adjacent to the Scobee Planetarium and College Observatory.  Viewing through the telescopes is free of charge, but please be sure to express your appreciation to the club members.  Again, viewing is scheduled, weather permitting on the first Friday of each month.
