Welcome to San Antonio College! San Antonio College serves a multicultural community by providing a high quality general education, liberal arts and sciences, career education, continuing education, developmental education, and English as a second language. The college has an average semester enrollment of 25,000 credit students and an average annual enrollment of 16,000 other-than-credit students. San Antonio College is the largest single-campus community college in Texas and one of the largest in the United States.
We are glad you have chosen to attend San Antonio College. The staff of the International Students Office (ISO) is here to assist you. Please come to the office anytime. We offer a large range of services to include:
- Admission Advising. The office accepts all applications and transcripts for admission, issues the Form I-20.
- Immigration Advising. International Office staff members provide information on a variety of immigration matters, including authorization for employment, extension of stay, re-instatement and change of non-immigrant status.
- Personal Advising. The International Office staff includes one full-time counselor, and one part-time counselor. They are both available to assist students with the demands associated with studying in another country. They also assist students with registration for courses and degree plans.
- General Assistance. The office staff is able to provide letters documenting enrollment for embassies, banks, and military organizations. Applications for social security cards and the necessary letters are also available at this office.
- English as a Second Language (ESOL). English classes for nonnative speakers are available through the Foreign Language Department. Students needing ESOL will be required to take a placement test in the Foreign Language Department. ESOL courses do not count as college credit; yet COUNT as part of the twelve credits required by Immigration.
