Texas
Senate Bill 183 was implemented September 1, 1993 making students
who meet the state criteria for being either Deaf or Blind eligible
for an exemption from paying tuition and fees at any state college
or university.
To be eligible,
a student must:

have
either a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
(G.E.D.) and
-
Be
either Deaf or Blind as defined by the state code.

To
claim tuition and fees exemption:

Register
for classes; then
-
Take
COPY of Certificate to SAC Bursar's Office, Fletcher Administration
Center, Room 201.
NOTE: Keep
your original certificate in a safe place and provide copies the
Bursar each semester you register.
