Texas Association of Schools of Art
TASA is a unique organization in Texas and perhaps in the United States. Initiated in 1970 at the behest of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Organization has continued their charge to help resolve transfer issues that might arise between two-year and four-year, public and private higher education institutions and art departments. Although TASA still advises with transfer recommendations, the Organization has become much broader in its service and communication.
With a comprehensive web site and database, TASA can quickly communicate information to and from the far-flung departments of art in Texas. Whether transfer issues need to be discussed; professional standards supported, or curriculum and programs updated, TASA has become a respected network that supports and nurtures the visual arts in higher education

CAA: The College Art Association
CAA includes among its members those who by vocation or avocation are concerned about and/or committed to the practice of art, teaching, and research of and about the visual arts and humanities. Over 13,000 artists, art historians, scholars, curators, collectors, educators, art publishers, and other visual arts professionals are individual members. Another 2,000 university artand art history departments, museums, libraries, and professional and commercial organizations hold institutional memberships.

National Portflio Day

The National Portfolio Day Association (NPDA) was created in 1978, solely for the organization and planning of National Portfolio Days. The Association consists of representatives from regionally accredited colleges and universities, which are members of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. The NPDA is the only organization of its kind, and its membership represents the highest standard of visual arts education available in the United States and Canada.
All Portfolio Day events are free, open to the public and do not require pre-registration. portfolioday.net
