Major Works
A handy source for a number of Augustine's works, if in older translations, is the first eight volumes of The Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, edited by Philip Schaff in the 1880's but reprinted by Eerdmans in 1974. The City of God, The Confessions, and Of Christian Doctrine are available from Penguin Books. On Christian Doctrine, translated by D.W. Robertson, is published by the Library of Liberal Arts, 1958. Finally, Henry Chadwick's translation of The Confessions is an Oxford World's Classic.
