PRIMARY IMPACT:

 

Takes a leadership role in the provision of complex administrative, technical, or production services, or crime prevention.

 

DUTIES:*

 

1.         Provide information to prospective adjunct faculty per phone/in person.

 

2.         Distribute adjunct faculty application packets upon request.

 

3.         Review adjunct faculty application packets to ensure information is complete and accurate.

 

4.         Evaluate applicants' transcripts/experience to recommend placement on faculty salary schedule.

 

5.         Respond to questions/concerns from applicants on Dean's behalf.

 

6.         Act as liaison between academic department Chairs and adjunct faculty applicants.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

 

Knowledge of academic transcripts including semester hours, quarter hours, grade point average, and indicators of academic progress and familiarity with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools faculty requirements preferred.

 

Excellent oral communication skills; attentive to details; and well-organized.

 

Ability to work within deadlines; deal professionally with applicants, Chairs, co-workers, and members of the community.

Preferred:         Three to four years.

 

Specifically, the position requires a minimum of three years of experience in a customer-service or public-contact position.
