PRIMARY IMPACT:
Provides standard administrative, technical, or production services or information that support others, and/or organizes data and information that is used and analyzed by others.
DUTIES:*
1. Maintain lab: clean all lab areas including floors and benches.
2. Organize tool room for quick access and inventory of tools and equipment.
3. Perform periodic maintenance of shop equipment; identify wear and tear and major damage; report maintenance issues to lab tech.
4. Use computerized information system to obtain diagnostic finding, parts information, and labor rates.
5. Assist instructors: prepare vehicles for lab projects; supply tools and equipment to students.
6. Secure equipment/lab area as needed.
7. Report any unsafe acts/conditions to lab tech or Department Chair.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Basic understanding of automotive operations.
Effective oral/written communication skills.
Ability to effectively use automotive hand tools and automotive pneumatic tools; use automotive equipment; follow oral/written instructions; maintain effective work relations; lift objects weighing 50 lbs. alone and move 100 lb. objects with help.
JOB EMPOWERMENT

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EDUCATION
Minimum: A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
Preferred: A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum: One to two years.
Preferred: Three to four years.
Specifically, the position requires one year of experience in auto repair or equivalent training in the auto industry.
