The ACCD Office of Alternative Teacher Certification Programs (ATCP) was created to assist individuals interested in exploring teaching careers in public education K-12, independent school districts, parochial, private, charter schools, and other stakeholders in education.

The ATCP also coordinates with the ACCD colleges: Northwest Vista College, Palo Alto College, St. Philip's College, San Antonio College and the State Board for Educator Certification on development of certification programs and professional development for in-service educators.
