NOTICE
IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD
OF TRUSTEES AND NOTICE OF VOTE ON TAX RATE OF THE
ALAMO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT WILL BE HELD ON
THE 27TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2005. THE MEETING OF THE
BOARD WILL CONVENE IN OPEN SESSION AT 6:30 P.M.
This
special meeting of the Board of Trustees, including
Notice of Vote on Tax Rate, is being held for the
reasons listed below, as authorized in accordance
with the Texas Government Code, Sections 551.001
- 551.146. Verification of Notice of Meeting and
Agenda are on file in the office of the Chancellor.
Executive Session, if required, is authorized by
the statute and will be conducted prior to the conclusion
of the meeting. If, during the course of the meeting,
any discussion of any item listed on the agenda
should be held in Executive Session, the Board will
convene in such Executive Session in accordance
with Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 - 551.084.
The Board of Trustees must take action in the open
portion of the meeting on items discussed in the
Executive Session. The Board will consider, discuss,
and take appropriate action regarding the following
items:

CERTIFICATION AND POSTING OF NOTICE
The
Alamo Community College District (ACCD) conducted
public hearings on a proposal to increase the total
tax revenues of ACCD from properties on the tax
roll in the preceding year by 4.1% on September
13, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. and September 20, 2005 at
6:30 p.m. Total tax revenues are increasing due
to the increase in the assessed value of the tax
base. The tax rate remains the same as last year
at $ .10705 per one hundred dollars of assessed
valuation.
The
Alamo Community College District is scheduled to
vote on the tax rate that will result in that tax
increase at a public meeting to be held on September
27, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at George E. Killen Community
Education and Service Center, 201 W. Sheridan, San
Antonio, Texas.

meeting site is wheelchair accessible. The accessible
entrance is located at the front entrance to Building
E (entrance faces S. Flores Street). Accessible
parking spaces are located in front of Building
E, located in the parking lot that faces on S. Flores.
