Sharla Jones, NVC. A multimedia software/interactive tutorial for ESL and Developmental Reading students on CD was developed in this project. The tutorial is designed to be as simple as possible without compromising any understanding or learning. The ESL and developmental reading programs will benefit from this software because instructors will be able to use this software in their classes or in the lab. The program is self explanatory and easy to use. Evaluators were asked to test the program for usability and comprehension. Overall, they felt the tutorial was very well designed, organized, and user friendly. Call instructor for viewing CD.

Mariane Odom, SAC. Created a self-paced instructional program in Question Mark Perception, the industry-standard Internet-testing software, to teach news style current with the Associated Press Stylebook, 2000 edition, and the Ranger's style addendum. The Internet version of "A 5 W's Approach to News Style" reflects up-to-date style usage, more emphasis on grammar, and new instruction on three special sections of the AP Stylebook-guides for the Internet, business and sports. In the databases created for this project, 14 tutorials and 14 corresponding practice tests were developed.

Irene Scharf, PAC. This project included research, identification, and listing of relevant primary source materials in electronic format (e-books) for use in the team-taught information-based History 1301 course (U.S. History, Beginnings through the Civil War). For each of the nine themes of the course, appropriate and relevant electronic primary sources were identified and added to the course website. These sources will enhance students' selection and analysis of historical primary source material.
