OUR MISSION:

In support of the institutional mission to enable students to reach their full potential, it is the mission of the Employee Development Council to enable institutional employees to reach their full potential by addressing the common development and holistic needs of all employees and the particular professional development needs of faculty, support staff and administrators. Our mission is backed by the commitment to do the following:
Serve as a clearinghouse for the exchange of information about all types of opportunities for professional & holistic development by:
Maintaining a library and resource data base of events, activities, seminars, workshops, courses & funding sources from within the ACCD system and beyond.
Distributing the resource information via memos, flyers, email and college and district web sites.
Referring employees' requests for personal and professional development to the appropriate providers.
Provide direct funding assistance for job related education and training (Mini-Grants & $100 Coupon).
Collaborate with the ACCD Instructional Innovation Council in supporting the ACCD Employee Development Conferences.
Administer ACCD Mini Grants for departmental development events.

Maintain sensitivity to the employees' particular development and holistic needs through a representative advisory committee, employee surveys and program evaluations.
Administer $100 Training and Development Coupon for regular (non-faculty) staff members.
