Guidelines:

To meet the various and multiple needs of our students, employees, and request from the general public, the following guidelines shall be followed by all ACCD employees when using the sign language/oral interpreter contract.

  • The awarded vendors shall be called upon in ranking order: primary, 1st alternate (if needed, then 2nd alternate, etc.)
  • Departments shall contact the primary vendor first
  • If the company cannot provide the service requested, document whom you contacted, date contacted, what service was requested and company's response.
  • After giving the primary vendor sufficient time to provide this service, departments shall then contract the 1st alternate with above documentation, and continue this process until an awarded vendor can provide the service.
  • Departments shall begin contacting the primary company as soon as possible upon receiving request for service.
  • This documentation shall be maintained by the campus representative and may be subject to audit.
