
The ACCD and the San Antonio Livestock Exposition are looking for excellent students who want challenging and rewarding careers in agribusiness, allied health, or hospitality management. The SALE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance which allows students to improve the quality of life in tomorrow's farming and ranching communities.
If you are pursuing a career in agribusiness, allied health, or hospitality management and you have strong academic potential and motivation, you should apply for the SALE scholarships which are available at the three of San Antonio's community colleges.
San Antonio College or Palo Alto College applicants must take courses that transfer to a four-year program in agriculture, agribusiness, food and fiber, or life science related areas. Texas institutions that offer agribusiness programs include Texas A&m, Texas A&I, Angelo State, Prairie View A&M, Tarleton State, Texas Tech, Southwest Texas State, and Sul Ross universities.
St. Philip's College scholarship applicants applicants must plan to major in allied health programs or in hospitality management programs. The allied health programs include nursing, medical transcription, physical therapy, surgical technology, fast food management, hotel management, and restaurant management.
You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and have been a resident of Bexar, Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, Wilson, Frio, Karnes or Kerr county for at least six (6) months prior to application. Students applying for hospitality management scholarships must be residents of Bexar County.
The scholarship covers up to $1000 per academic year for tuition, fees, books and required materials. The scholarship may be renewed for a maximum of four semesters, as long as all program requirements are met.
