Lifetime Learner Scholarship

Northwest Vista College is offering 50, $500 scholarships to students from Northside Independent School District high schools! These Lifetime Learner Scholarships will not be awarded on the basis of need, or on the basis of merit. Northwest Vista College provides learning opportunities to people of all ages and walks of life. Our programs will get you started on a career path.

If you are excited about learning, you need to apply for a Lifetime Learner Scholarship to Northwest Vista College!

We are looking for students who can get excited about learning. The lifetime learner we are looking for will need to do the following::

• Complete a Lifetime Learner Scholarship Application.
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (Submit a high school transcript.)
• Write a personal composition of 200 to 500 words (see application). This is your opportunity to show us your ZEST...your PASSION FOR LEARNING.
• Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Need is not a requirement, but we want to make sure you take advantage of all sources of financial assistance.

Deadline: By the end of the first week of May.

Applications are available at your school’s counseling office and with your English Department Chair. Please send the completed packet to Northwest Vista College, Student Financial Services, 3535 N. Ellison Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78251.

Northwest Vista College has been approved for state and federal financial aid programs for almost a year. NVC students now enjoy the benefits of a full range of need-based programs offered at other schools. The college also offers other non-need-base scholarship programs for students who do not qualify for financial aid.

A four-year education is a worthy goal. Northwest Vista College wants to help you achieve that goal.
