Welcome to the Student Leadership Institute

The Student Leadership Institute, established in Fall 2001, is a personal empowerment initiative under the Office of the District Director of Student and Community Program Development. This program provides intensive leadership training for students, concerning all sectors of business, media, non-profit, private, public and educational sectors.

The ACCD Leadership Institute provides information on scholarships and internships, networking opportunities with area leaders, and possible travel opportunities to Austin and Washington, D.C. The SLI provides intensive overviews of issues that are important for effective leadership in any environment. The SLI's ultimate goal is to prepare students with superior skills needed to lead a group or work in collaboration with other leaders to accomplish program objectives.
