About ACCD Economic Workforce Development
Mission
To respond to employer workforce development needs through
training and education in support of economic development
through the four colleges and the Advanced Technology Center of
the Alamo Colleges.
The five colleges of the Alamo Colleges represent a necessary ingredient in the Alamo area's strategic plan to accelerate the creation and expansion of high-skill, high-wage jobs.
The colleges continue to work closely with the City of San Antonio and State of Texas in adopting an aggressive economic development scheme that calls for the Alamo Colleges to train a new workforce and to assist incumbent workers with education and training that promotes job mobility and the acquisition of advanced job skills.
