ACCD Westside Education & Training Center
The Westside Education & Training Center is a partnership between the Alamo Community College District, the City of San Antonio, and the Edgewood Independent School District.
Located in the heart of the Edgewood ISD, this workforce specialty center was opened as an avenue for Westside residents to attain entry-level occupational skills or to increase technical skills to connect to jobs or higher education opportunities.
This center provides:
- Short-term workforce training programs
- College core courses like science, math and humanities
- Associate’s degree courses that are transferable to four year colleges
- Pre-professional courses (such as health occupations, biosciences, information technology)
- ESL, GED and Bilingual education
- Technical skill assessment
- College enrollment, assessment and financial aid information and processing
- Placement testing
- Career exploration
- Job search assistance
