Access to Higher Education

Scholarships open doors of opportunity for needy and deserving students. With over 50,000 students enrolled each year at an Alamo College, scholarships provide the means for many who would otherwise be unable to pursue a higher education and gain access to the road to success. Establishing a named scholarship, whether as a permanent fund or as an annual or one-time gift, is a perfect way to honor or memorialize someone for whom you care. At the same time, you can help others achieve the dream.

Partnerships that align pre-kindergarten through bachelor’s degree education place the Alamo Colleges at the critical intersection for success. Achieving the Dream becomes a reality through student support programs that build a foundation, advance consistency, and promote excellence.

Employer demands for highly skilled, technically proficient, and well educated employees guide the Alamo Colleges in the development and delivery of quality academic, technical, and continuing education programs and offerings.  Working closely with business, industry and government agencies, the Alamo Colleges deliver the training needed by the workforce today … and for tomorrow.

Capacity to Serve


Modern facilities with state-of-the-art learning labs and technology, as well as highly trained, knowledgeable and skilled faculty and staff are critical for a productive learning environment. The Alamo Colleges are poised for growth as we address the Texas Closing the Gaps initiatives to increase success in education among underserved populations. Naming opportunities for facilities, and endowed teaching chairs, are an excellent way to commemorate a special, extra gift.
