Our mission is to strengthen the Alamo Community Colleges’ capacity to empower for success the diverse communities served by each college. Established in 1985, we are still young but proud of what we have so far accomplished. We have awarded more than 5,000 scholarships totaling more than $10 million since we first started, and are continuing to grow. We have also awarded more than $2 million to strengthen the programs and services provided by the Alamo Community Colleges. The Alamo Community College District Foundation (ACCD Foundation) has embarked on a historic fundraising campaign. Our goals are to achieve the vision that the Alamo Community Colleges will be the best in the nation. The charitable gifts and investments we receive will increase access to higher education, maximize student support and success, affirm regional leadership in workforce development, build capacity to serve, and advance transparent communications to empower our communities for success.
