Due to On-going chat problems within the WebCT platform, ACCD has temporarily selected Digichat as an alternate chat option for use with online courses. Digichat is a full-featured Java Chat client that runs on any OS, including Macintosh, all flavors of Windows, Linux/UNIX, FreeBSD/NetBSD, BeOS, and more. On the client side, the DigiChat applet is handled seamlessly by the web browser. There is nothing to download, nothing to install on the client end. You do not need to worry about long download times, picking up viruses or having the right plug-in.
