  1. How do students access the survey?
    The student will access the survey within the PALS / My Courses tab. They will click on the Survey link under each course. They should not have to log in again. It should be single sign-on.

  1. Are the survey responses anonymous?
    Yes, responses will be anonymous. Faculty will only be able to view percentage reports after the grade due date.

    The college survey administrator will set the start and end date for student to access the survey. (See front page for names of college administrators).

    Reports will be viewable after the end date set by the college survey administrator.

  1. How often should college survey administrators re-calculate the results?
    It is recommended that college survey administrators re-calculate only once a day because of amount of resources that are required to re-calculate.

  1. I need to update / change a Faculty, Dean, or Chairperson’s access.
    There is a feature on the survey setup where the college administrators to modify the department name and chairperson. A link has been provided right under the department dropdown box called “Add /Modify Departments”. Administrators can click on that link and there they can modify the department name or chairperson.

  1. How will faculty access reports for surveys administered in previous eSurvey application?
    The instructor should be able to view reports by logging into eSurvey with the default User Name and Password.
    1. Click on eSurvey link within the PALS Faculty tab under Faculty Resources channel.
    2. Log in with PALS User Name. The password is the first two letters of your last name in capital with the last six of your social security number.
    3. Click on eSurvey Manager
    4. Select the semester
    5. Click on View
    6. Click on Details next to each class to view Summary Report.
    7. Click on View Results to view detailed report.
