Programs

The Office of International Programs oversees a variety of programs focused on increasing global awareness and promoting international cooperation.

The Cooperative Association of States for Scholarship Program (CASS), provides intensive instruction to rural teachers from Central America and the Caribbean with funds provided by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

The Teaching, Internships, Exchanges and Scholarships (TIES) project is a workforce development project funded by USAID in which 300 at-risk maquiladora workers receive specialized training in an effort to increase productivity and efficiency with the hope of protecting their jobs.

The English Language Fellows Program (ELFP) seeks English as a Second Language instructors to take temporary teaching assignments overseas, funded by the U.S. Department of State.

The U.S. Department of Education funds a Title VIa Globalizing the Curriculum grant for a project entitled, “Bringing the World Home and Home to the World.”
