President
of Palo Alto College Honored at the Ford Salute to
Education Banquet
August 11, 2005
As
President of Palo Alto College for the past four years,
Dr. Ana M. “Cha” Guzman has taken Palo
Alto College to new heights, and has set high standards
for her staff, faculty, and students to achieve.
Ford Motor
Company recognized Dr. Guzman for her work in training
former Levi-Strauss workers for new jobs; for her
lifetime commitment to education; for her leadership
in guiding Palo Alto College to a 29% increase in
student enrollment in the past four years; for bringing
the Gateway to College Program to PAC – the
only Texas college selected to implement the program;
and for making Palo Alto College “The Heart
of the Community” and the “Economic Engine
of the Southside”.
Dr. Guzman
exemplifies the commitment of the Alamo Community
Colleges in making a quality education accessible
and affordable.
