to Offer Writing Prep for Standardized Tests

Antonio College's Basic Skills Enrichment Program
will offer "Essay Writing for Standardized Tests"
on Tuesday evenings, 6 - 9 p.m., August 30 - December
6. The location will be announced.
The class is a non-credit course intended to help
individuals prepare for success on the writing portion
of a standardized test, such as the THEA, AccuPlacer,
SAT, and ACT, according to Coordinator Betty Lee Birdsall.
The topics will include Argument Development and Support,
Unity and Focus, Organization, Sentence Structure,
and Mechanical Conventions.
The registration fee will be based on enrollment status.
The class size is limited, so people are encouraged
to register now. For information, come by the Moody
Learning Center, Suite 712, or call 733-2052.
