Annual Turkey Taste-Off Showcases SPC Students' Culinary

Escoffier, featuring Stephen Acuna, Jaquie Montalvo,
Chris Lowe, Jill Jurkow and Jose Sedillo took the
top spot in the 2005 St. Philip's College Turkey TasteOff
sponsored by H-E-B Central Market.
In
what has become a tradition, teams of culinary students
face off in an intra-class competition for the best
Thanksgiving meal. Their culinary creations were taste-tested
by a slate of media judges who critiqued the students
on things such as creativity, originality, presentation
and taste. The competition enables students to gauge
their culinary skills while showcasing their abilities
to the public.
