Awards Certificates to Former Levi Employees

of displaced workers from the former Levi Strauss
Manufacturing Company. The displaced workers are students
at Palo Alto College, taking continuing education
courses in order to prepare them for other job opportunities.
A
group of displaced workers from the former Levi Strauss
Manufacturing Company who are now attending Palo Alto
College were recently awarded Certificates of Completion
for several continuing education courses they have
undertaken in order to prepare them for a variety
of job opportunities.
The students
were recognized for completing courses in Business
Correspondence, Computer Applications, and the Fundamentals
of Filing. Several students were also recognized for
completing their GED requirements. A formal graduation
ceremony for the displaced workers is scheduled for
mid-December.
Palo Alto
College is a fully accredited community college located
on the Southside, and awards associate degrees, short-term
certificates and offers non-credit continuing education
classes. The college is recognized nationally for
its high transfer rate. The campus is located at 1400
W. Villaret Blvd. at I-410 South and
Texas Hwy.
