SAC Club Honors Local Leaders with 'Henry B. Gonzalez Public Service and Integrity Award'

For his high integrity, ethical behavior and community service to better our world, Tino Duran (center) of the La Prensa Foundation accepts this year's Henry B. Gonzalez Public Service and Integrity Award, given by the San Antonio College Public Administration Student Club (SAC-PAC). (The award was also given to Amelia Duran, not pictured.) Representing SAC-PAC (right) is the club's president, Jerry Guerra, and joining in the celebration is U.S. Representative Charlie Gonzalez, son of the late Henry B. Gonzalez.

The award was given during the SAC-PAC 2005 Awards Ceremony that also recognized public servants Sheryl Sculley, San Antonio City Manager, and Chief Albert Ortiz, San Antonio Police Department, as well as SAC public administration graduate Rosa Garay, who currently works for the U.S. Department of Labor in Dallas. Additionally, local high school students and Katrina evacuees involved with the SAC Women's Center and Adult Re-entry Program received Henry B. Gonzalez Public Service scholarship awards.
