SPC Hosts Community Conversation: “Helping All Community College Students Succeed”

What: A Community Conversation, “Helping All Community College Students Succeed,” a gathering of San Antonio area residents, students, educators, community leaders, and St. Philip’s College to discuss closing achievement gaps and improving student results. A project of St. Philip’s College, The San Antonio Education Partnership, St. Paul United Methodist Church, Alamo City Chamber of Commerce, Project Quest, Inc., Alamo WorkSource, San Antonio Independent School District, City of San Antonio, Communities in Schools, San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Randolph Metrocom Chamber of Commerce.


Agenda: The program will begin with dinner, proceed to a short welcome session, followed by small facilitated group discussions, and will close with a summation and a discussion of concrete follow-up actions.

Dr. Patricia Candia, Interim President of St. Philip’s College, will be available for interviews

St. Philip’s College, one of the Alamo Community Colleges serving the greater Bexar County region, is a comprehensive community college designated as both a Historically Black College and a Hispanic Serving Institution.
