Ballet Folklorico Performs as Part of the 2006 Hispanic Heritage Celebration at SAC

WHAT:
Ballet Folklorico Fiesta Mexicana from Nueva Leon, Monterrey (Mexico) performs as part of the 2006 Hispanic Heritage Celebration at San Antonio College.

“Ballet Folklorico” refers to traditional dances and sounds that reflect the rich, colorful histories and cultures of various Mexican regions. In addition to illustrious costumes, the energetic dances feature such musical instruments as guitar, violin, harp and the jarana, a small distinctive sounding guitar- or ukulele-like stringed instrument from the Mexican state of Veracruz.
