Course, “Renewable/Alternative & Fuel Cell
Energy”
The
St. Philip's College Continuing Education Department
will offer the non-credit course, “Renewable/Alternative
& Fuel Cell Energy Sources 101,” beginning
Tuesday, October 10, 2006. This course is a comprehensive
overview of renewable/alternative fuel cell energy
sources that will reduce dependency on fossil fuels,
reduce air pollution and open up new job opportunities.
The course is taught by energy expert Thomas Lytle
and is overseen by Dr. William Davis, Chairman of
the St. Philip’s College Natural Sciences Department.
This 24-hour course will be held on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings, October 10 through November 2, from 6-9
p.m., at the college’s Southwest Campus located
at 800 Quintana Rd. The cost is $110 and interested
individuals may register at the St. Philip’s
College Continuing Education Department, 1801 Martin
Luther King Dr.
This
course is compatible with area high schools’
2+2 college plan. Scholarships may be available to
outstanding science students recommended by their
teachers through AACOG. Certificates of Completion
will be issued at the end of the course and individual
sessions may be monitored with no certificate being
awarded. The course includes:
