to Hold A Community Conversation Tuesday, Oct. 17
on Improving Student Success

WHAT
* San Antonio College will hold a Community Conversation
on the topic "Helping All San Antonio College
Students Succeed."
WHY:
* The Community Conversation is part of the ACCD's
Achieving the Dream initiative, which is focused on
student retention and success. The purpose is to listen
to a cross-section of the community on the best ways
to help students succeed.
WHEN/WHERE:
* Tuesday, October 17, 5:30-9:15 p.m.
San Antonio College, 1300 San Pedro Ave.
Note:
Parking Lot 21 by the Gym and tennis courts (off San
Pedro at West Park Ave.) will be reserved for attendees
and the media.
* Schedule:
- 5:30
- 6:15 p.m.: Registration and Dinner
Loftin Student Center, Fiesta Room
- 6:15
- 7 p.m.: General presentation, including a short
video about community college issues.
- 7
- 8:30 p.m.: Break-out sessions in smaller groups
classrooms in McCreless Hall.
- 8:30
- 9:15 p.m.: General Meeting (with reports and concluding
remarks),
Loftin Student Center, Fiesta Room.
WHO:
* Invitees include students, educators, residents,
and community leaders. About 75-85 attendees are expected
to attend.
* San Antonio College will collect the ideas from
the break-out sessions and report back to the participants.
