Northeast Lakeview College hosted its first fall Drawing Exhibition on December 11th. The exhibition showcased works by students enrolled in Drawing I courses this semester and selections encompassed a wide range of drawing traditions. Students were present at the exhibition to discuss their featured piece, its significance and explain why it was their selection of choice.

“The exhibition is a great way for our students to take pride in their creations,” says Susan Kazen, chair of fine & performing arts and kinesiology at Northeast Lakeview College. More than 125 students, parents, faculty and staff enjoyed the art showcased on campus. “This fall exhibition received such a positive response, we are already planning for our Drawing Exhibition in the spring,” Kazen added.

Planned and prepared by art instructors Julie Shipp and Noël Heller, the exhibition featured works by students in Northeast Lakeview College’s Drawing I class. Featured student artists included: Lysett Barrera, Emily Blauvelt, Mycal Bonds, Thomas Carter, Monica Chagoya, Yolanda Cirlos, Rachel Clark, James Cua, Mindy Delgado, Darren Evans, Jennifer Gately, Rebecca Gonzales, David Hawbecker, Brittney Knouse, Kyle Long, Marcela Luna, Stephanie Magnum, Shelly Maydon, Thomas Meyer, Matthew Ramirez, Shane Ramirez, Collette Riddle, Alex Rodriguez, David Shears, Paul Shestko and Christopher Wiles.
