Career Forum

Northeast Lakeview College hosted a Student Career Talk Forum on June 28th. Facilitated by Dr. Cindy Griffith, Dean of Workforce and Community Education, the forum focused on gathering information from students on future career path choices and interests. Students also obtained general knowledge information on degree plans, future employments trends, and the educational and skill requirements for certain careers. The program discussed a variety of career paths from textiles, to financial services, and healthcare.

“The Student Career Talk Forum offers first-hand career based information,” says Griffith. “The format allowed students to ask questions as well as provide important feedback on their career interests, wants, and needs.” Over 100 Northeast Lakeview College students attended the forum and were surveyed. The information gathered will be used to develop academic career programs at Northeast Lakeview College tailored to students’ needs.
