Alamo Colleges, Local ISD Announce Opening of College Center in Kerrville This Fall

The Alamo Colleges’ Board of Trustees has approved an agreement with the Kerrville Independent School District (KISD) to establish the Greater Kerrville - Alamo Community College District Center. Classes will be offered in the fall at a temporary location in a building on the Hal Peterson Middle School campus at 1607 Sidney Baker. The center will eventually be moved to the Tivy Education Building at 1010 Barnett, when its renovation is complete. Application and registration information for fall classes will be available by mid-June.

The center will provide access for residents in the greater Kerrville area to associate of arts, associate of science and associate of applied science degree courses, plus workforce, continuing education, technical training and dual credit courses offered by The Alamo Colleges. The center will also assist area residents and incumbent workers in attaining the education and training needed to meet to the workforce needs of the area.

The Alamo Colleges’ service area includes Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr and Wilson counties. The Alamo Colleges —San Antonio College, St. Philip’s College, Palo Alto College, Northwest Vista College and Northeast Lakeview  College—now serve more than 95,000 students each year.
