Alamo Community Colleges' Board of Trustees Adds Three Administrators to Leadership Team

At their regular June board meeting, The Alamo Colleges Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Dr. Adelina Silva as Vice Chancellor for Student Success, Dr. Kristine L. Clark as Vice Chancellor for Academic Success and Dr. Jo-Carol Fabianke as Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Support.
“The appointment of these three highly qualified and experienced individuals is a critical step in achieving our goal of improving student recruitment, retention and completion,” said ACCD Chancellor Dr. Bruce H. Leslie. “ I am confident that they will prove to be valuable additions to our leadership team,” he added.
Silva, who has been with the ACCD for 32 years, was most recently the district director of student and community program development. She earned her associate degree at San Antonio College, her bachelor’s Summa Cum Laude at Texas A&I University—Corpus Christi, her master’s at UTSA and her doctorate in education administration from UT Austin.
Clark joined The Alamo Colleges in 2006 as the executive vice president of San Antonio College. Prior to joining the executive team at SAC, she served for 25 years in a variety of higher education positions in New Mexico. Her academic training includes a doctoral degree in education leadership from the University of New Mexico as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication studies from Eastern New Mexico University.
Fabianke, a 33-year veteran of ACCD, most recently served as district director of Achieving the Dream. Before moving to the district offices, she was vice president of academics at Northwest Vista College. She also taught as a professor at San Antonio College and served in a number of administrative positions there as well. Fabianke earned her bachelor’s and master’s at North Texas State University and her doctorate in higher education administration at Baylor University. |
