SPC Facilities Department Recognized for Quick Response to Power Outage

At their June meeting, The Alamo Colleges’ Board of Trustees and Chancellor Bruce H. Leslie recognized staff from the St. Philip's College Facilities Department, along with other college staff members, for their extraordinary efforts during the SPC power outage on Friday, May 26, 2008. The staff members worked swiftly over the Memorial Day weekend to restore power so that normal operations could resume on Tuesday, March 30. Plaques were presented to: Jorge Miranda, SPC heating and air conditioning apprentice; Frank Moncada, general maintenance mechanic; Freddie Robinson, personnel agency employee; Scott Seiler, SPC electrical apprentice; Lynn Tiner, SPC master heating, ventilation and air conditioning; Sherry Toliver, SPC facilities superintendent; and Ray Vann, SPC master electrician.
