Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Awards PAC Student $1,000 Scholarship

SAN ANTONIO—The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has named Cornelio Ontiveros, a Palo Alto College student, the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of his academic success and community service.
The Foundation awards a total of 400 scholarships annually to college students nationwide attending higher-education institutions granting two-year degrees.
“The Coca-Cola Two-Year Colleges Scholarship Program is an extension of our long-standing commitment to college education throughout the United States,” said J. Mark Davis, President of the Coca-Cola Scholarship Foundation. “This scholarship honors students who often balance responsibilities of school, work and family, but also find time to give back to their community through volunteer service.”
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation is supported by the financial commitment of the San Antonio Coca-Cola Bottling Co., and The Coca-Cola Company. Now in its 9th year of funding the Coca-Cola Two-Year Colleges Scholarship Program, the Foundation has provided $3.7 million in scholarship awards to students attending two-year degree granting institutions.
Palo Alto College, one of The Alamo Colleges, is a fully accredited community college located on the Southside, and awards associate degrees, short-term certificates and offers non-credit continuing education classes.
