Alamo Community Colleges' Fall 2008 Enrollment Increases to 52,010
The Alamo Colleges’ continue to be one of the nation’s largest post secondary institutions, with a record fall 2008 credit enrollment of 52,010 students, an increase of 4% over fall 2007. Annually, The Alamo Colleges enroll more than 69,000 credit students, and more than 33,300 students in Continuing Education and Workforce programs, contributing to a total annual enrollment of more than 102,000 students.
“This enrollment increase reflects the fact that the community and our students recognize the outstanding value that a college education at one of our colleges represents,” said Chancellor Dr. Bruce H. Leslie. “We offer a top quality college education for a very affordable cost to make higher education accessible to as many members of our community as possible,” he added.
Fall 2008 credit enrollment at each of The Alamo Colleges is:
• Northeast Lakeview College 416*
• Northwest Vista College 12,034
• Palo Alto College 7,791
• St. Philip’s College 10,056
• San Antonio College 21,713
Total credit enrollment 52,010
