Alamo Colleges’ Record Enrollment - 60,366
The Alamo Colleges’ continues its record enrollment growth, with a fall 2009 credit enrollment of 60,366 students, an increase of 11.9% over fall 2008 and the highest enrollment for any spring or fall semester ever attained!
"Our record enrollment is the result of the dedication of our faculty and staff in serving our students. It reflects the work of staff in streamlining the enrollment process, from admissions to counseling, registration and financial aid, as well as the success of our efforts to increase the retention rate of students from one semester to the next. The completion of new facilities at all our colleges and the low cost of tuition and quality programs students and employers want also contributed to this tremendous increase," said Alamo Colleges Chancellor Dr. Bruce H. Leslie.
Fall 2009 credit enrollment at each of the Alamo Colleges is:
Total credit enrollment 60,366
- San Antonio College 22,028 - up 7.9%
- St. Philip’s College 10,282 - up 6.9%
- Palo Alto College 8,304 - up 6.1%
- Northwest Vista College 14,555 - up 21.7%
- Northeast Lakeview College 5,197 - up 26.3%
