SAC Donates School Supplies for Travis Elementary Students

Friday morning, San Antonio College President Robert E. Zeigler and representatives of the college Staff Council delivered school supplies to Travis Elementary School Principal Lelia Bagwell and her staff. The Staff Council sponsored the drive for school supplies, donated by faculty and staff, for needy students at the neighboring school.

"This is an important community service to help young children with their school supplies," said Zeigler, who added that it also helps communicate to Travis Elementary parents and teachers that San Antonio College is interested in their students.

Also present at the delivery of school supplies were Cynthia Price, President of the San Antonio College Staff Council, Grace Setien and Nora Mozingo, Curriculum Specialists at Travis Elementary School.

Supplies included school supply boxes, crayons, erasers, glue, handwriting tablet, pencil bag, pens and pencils, safety scissors, tissues, clipboard, folders, glue sticks, liquid soap, spiral notebooks, water color paints, hand-wipes, notebook paper, ruler, and Ziplock baggies.
