ST. PHILIP’S COLLEGE EXPANDS MASSAGE THERAPY OFFERINGS
Evening Classes Now Available
The St. Philip’s College Massage Therapy Program has been expanded to include evening classes beginning this October. St. Philip’s College offers Massage Therapy as a continuing education (non-credit) program that prepares students to become licensed massage therapists. The evening classes were added in an effort to meet demand and better accommodate the schedules of working students.
Massage Therapy evening classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. on the main campus (1801 Martin Luther King Drive). Anyone interested in enrolling should attend a mandatory massage therapy orientation class scheduled for Sept. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information, call 210.531.4786 or access the St. Philip’s College Continuing Education fall schedule online at http://www.accd.edu/spc/ce/.
The St. Philip’s College Massage Therapy Program is a composite of seven classes that prepare students to take the Texas massage therapy written and practical exams to become a registered massage therapist. Massage therapy topics covered include: Swedish massage, anatomy, health and hygiene, physiology, business practices and professional ethics, hydrotherapy, and an internship offering hands-on learning experience.
St. Philip's College, one of the Alamo Community Colleges serving the greater Bexar County region, is a comprehensive community college designated as both a Historically Black College and a Hispanic Serving Institution. St. Philip's College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
