Community Invited to Celebrate PAChanga 2002 at Palo Alto College
Palo Alto College will host PAChanga 2002 on Saturday, Oct. 19, from Noon to 6 p.m. on the southside campus off Loop 410 and
highway 16.
The community is invited to participate in this free family-style event. Festivities include lively musical entertainment
by Celeste Curiel, Vallejo and La Tropa F, plus an array of food and arts and crafts booths. The event will also feature
a Health Fair from Noon - 3 p.m. and a free Children's Activity Area. Children will be entertained for hours with face
and fabric painting, reading time, a a playdough and water table. IDENT-A-KID will also be fingerprinting children and
creating identification cards for $5.
Community members can collect health information, take advantage of free and low-cost screenings for diabetes and blood
pressure, and get safety tips from the Heidi Search Center at the Health Fair. This year's events also will feature more
craft booths for jewelry, baby quilts, ceramics, Christmas decorations and wood art.
The event started in 1993 as a way to encourage the community to visit the campus. Various academic departments and student
organizations will have booths, and students and college employees will be available to answer questions about the college.
