ST. PHILIP'S COLLEGE TO HOLD FREE COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR OCT. 23
St. Philip's College will hold its annual fall Health Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Health
and Fitness Center gymnasium on the main campus (1801 Martin Luther King Drive). Admission to the event is free and

The St. Philip's College Health Fair will feature a number of interactive demonstrations, educational presentations
and materials, and screenings for diabetes, blood pressure, pulmonary function, HIV, and body composition and weight.
The fair also will feature demonstrations in Yoga, circuit training, Tai Chi and kickboxing. In addition, the South
Texas Blood and Tissue Center will hold a blood drive on campus for anyone wishing to contribute.
Community agencies participating include the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, the Texas
Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the American Cancer Society, the San Antonio AIDS Foundation and others.
The St. Philip's College Health Fair is sponsored by the College Wellness Committee, the College Health Center and
the Kinesiology Department.
St. Philip's College, one of the Alamo Community Colleges, is designated a
Historically Black College and a Hispanic Serving Institution. St. Philip's College is accredited by the Commission on
Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
