ACCD RESPONDS TO DISTRICT ATTORNEY ANNOUNCEMENT

We are disappointed by the news that a former trustee and two current trustees of the Alamo Community College District have been indicted. We sympathize with the difficulties this creates for the families of those involved.

It is important for the public to note that the indictments are based on the actions of a few board members, but do not involve the day to day operations of the district. We will support and cooperate with the district attorney’s office in its investigation of the Alamo Community College District. We hope this is one more step in resolving questions about the operation of the district. We hope it is one more step in restoring public trust in our operations.

We remain committed to our students and taxpayers. Our resolve to provide a quality education to our students at affordable prices remains intact.
