ST. PHILIP'S COLLEGE ENTERS AGREEMENT
WITH HOTEL AND RESTAURANT TECHNICAL SCHOOL IN MEXICO
St. Philip's College has entered into an agreement of cooperation and student exchange with the Tecnologico
Profesional en Hotelieria y Restaurante, a post-secondary technical school in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes,
Mexico, that prepares students for careers in the hotel and restaurant industry.
The two-year partnership was developed to foster cooperation between the two institutions in the common
program area of hospitality industry training and education. The agreement of cooperation is designed to promote
cross-cultural enrichment and enhance the learning and teaching experience through a collaborative approach to
instructional and curricular development and faculty and student exchanges in the hotel and restaurant education
programs at each school. The Tecnologico Profesional en Hotelieria y Restaurante is focused on developing a mid-level
and superior level of technical and professional training for individuals wishing to work in operative areas of the
hotel and restaurant industry in the state of Aguascalientes. The school offers training in two technical career areas
-- restaurant management and hotel management. St. Philip's College offers certificates and associate degrees in various
areas of tourism, hospitality and culinary arts, including restaurant, hotel and tourism management.
St. Philip's College, one of the Alamo Community Colleges serving the greater Bexar County region, is a comprehensive
community college designated as both a Historically Black College and a Hispanic Serving Institution. St. Philip's
College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
